第一、突出特点，避免千篇一律
自我介绍一般就是介绍一下自己的姓名、年龄、家庭成员、兴趣爱好，但是如果学生在面试的时候只是简单的把这些问题用英语叙述一下，就毫无特色可言。例如：
My name is Li Lei， I’m twelve years old. There are 3 people in my family， my father， my mother， and I. my father is a worker， my mother is a doctor， I’m a student. I like playing basketball after school.
如果面试的考官听到的是这样一种属于流水账，毫无特点和新意的自我介绍，想要得高分是不可能的，但是怎么才算是有特点、有新意呢?再看一个例子：
Good morning teacher， I’m Li Lei， I’m 12 years now. I have many hobbies. When I am free， I will spend time on my hobbies. When I am in a blue mood， I will also do my hobbies to cheer myself up. 前后一比较大家就可以看出第一种表达方式是多么的简单直白，而第二中介绍就能让考官对学生有一个更深层次的了解，学生突出了自己的特点，也会给考官留下更深刻的印象。
第二，拓展知识面，并要有自己的观点
现在的小升初面试要想给考官留下一个深刻的印象，就要突出自己的特点，而在做自我介绍的过程中，兴趣爱好又是学生介绍最多的内容，但如果只是像流水账一样说有这个爱好或那个爱好，效果肯定不好。这时候就需要学生把自己的兴趣爱好能够做更深层次的拓展，如何拓展好，就需要学生对自己的兴趣爱好有相应的了解，诸如，音乐，体育，美术，旅游等等，在在了解的基础上发表一下自己的对此项爱好的一些见解，这样会让考官觉得学生真的是很喜欢这个东西，并且这个见解还能为自己的介绍增色很多，但如果没有相应的了解，自己的见解肯定是说不出来，考官觉得学生可能是在编造一些爱好而已。
第三，注重口语表达，说话思路清晰
